ABOUT ME
I'm Maureen. Everybody calls me moe except my mother.
I am an illustrator, cartoonist and a graphic designer.
My books include Handy Stories and Deaf Cinderella. My work can also been seen in NAD newsletters.
It all started when my dad told me that I should try and draw on my own. I was 4 years old.
In grade school, I drew cartoons for my teachers. In high school, I continued drawing cartoons. I drew cartoons in almost every class. I helped my junior class with fundraising by drawing caricatures for 50 cents each. (I'll never do it again.)
I graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York, with BFA degree in Illustration. I also took full advantage of non-required math courses.
I am a high school digital media teacher at California School for the Deaf in Fremont.
I live in Bay Area, California with my husband and my daughter, Shoshannah.
